The phrase ‘common ground’ is most often defined as ‘shared ideas or ideologies’. A place, though not real, where people from all walks of life can meet and agree.

But if you take the words at their meaning, they simply say “ordinary land”. The landscapes presented here are just that: the quiet majority of places that make up the space in between.
